Our History

ItWorks Distributing was formed in October 2004 by Harlan Bernstein, who has been in the power business since 1990. Our commitment is to hands-on customer focus; serving end users, IT and telecom resellers and electrical contractors, ItWorks provides applications engineering, installation services and ongoing after-the-sale support among its offerings. Specializing in Eaton Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) from 300VA to 160 kVA, ItWorks also provides a range of other power backup and conditioning equipment, including surge suppression systems and engine generator sets.

Harlan Bernstein

Owner

Harlan Bernstein has been in the power quality industry since 1990 and owner of ItWorks since its inception in 2004. Prior to 1990, he barely knew a watt from a volt – but has picked up a couple things in the years since. As a young man in the restaurant business, he embraced the values of responsiveness, communication, anticipation and problem solving, values which are now hallmarks of the ItWorks approach. He lives in Glenview, Illinois, where his passions are his family, music and golf, generally in that order.
